Duel by Propaganda. Same as with Carrie, I had some albums before that; some Cure, Prince, Eurythmics, U2 and Joy Division, but Duel was the first single I went out for.

Me too, I always loved Rhythm Nation. And I thought that Prince stole the guitar melody from "Black Cat" for "Endorphinemachine".

Ta, ta, ta, ta... Tata, tata, ta, ta, ta... Take or leave it... It's a shame that one om them girls died so young... I still love it. And I loved 'F.L.M. too. I was such a Stock, Aitken & Waterman whore when I was younger. And, yes, very tragic.

Jochem... you're making this worse. I dread to think what the other me is listening to in a parallel universe. My music taste in *this* one is bad enough.

I remember it was a little 45 of the S.O.S. Band's Take Your Time (do it right).
I was out with my mother and I used some of the money I got for my birthday. I was 7. It was the first thing I ever remember buying myself, besides candy, of course. Oh my GOD! This is the first record player I ever had. It was made by Fisher Price. I played that record on this record player. Aw it's too early to go down memory lane! I used to carry this thing all over the house and plug in and play. [Edited 3/1/08 4:54am]

Somehow I don't think my parents were really paying attention. My uncle came by one weekend and scared the living daylights out of me. He told me KISS stood for "Knights in Satan's Service" and that the music was "demonized." My cousins, who were even younger than I was, kept ensuring me they wouldn't let the devil get me, but I didn't sleep for about a week... and I think I threw the album away. oh my god!!! I didn't buy it myself, but that was my first album as well and I made my grandparents get it for me the day after they gave me my first lil' record player...I remember it even had a "love gun" inside of it, it was kinda like a popper we used to make in school...It was '77 and I was 5 as well... wait, you aren't me, are you?? Did Shannon Zlotnik bloody your nose with her Barbie lunchbox because you kept teasing her in 5th Grade? Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
