I don't know if this fits into the thread at all 
I had a long-time crush on this boy, and he kind of pretended he didn't notice it. Then I was going to meet his 2 friends. We sat together in a train carriage for 4 hours. After that one of the 2 other guys called me and asked me out. We went to the movies, and we bumped into the guy I had the crush on 
Later THAT guy realised he was super-jealous and finally, after 2 years  made his move on me. His friend who had asked me out was pretty hurt, he REALLY liked me. I was then together with my crush for 5 years. | |

I am thankful that my friends and I are not like that with each other. Only once did a friend and I like the same dude. He turned me down so I was all for her going for it...he ended up turning her down as well. We both thought it was kinda funny. No competition between us at all. | |

Never happened to me.
I have been the second friend, though, a long time ago. I didn't do anything. I liked my friend too much to hurt her that way. Later she dropped me as a friend to become a heroin addict.
