How Many times...

...have you met and flirted with someone only to meet their friend later ( before any substantial relationship has developed between you and the former... besides them laying "claim" to you)...and wished you had met the friend first?

(i always have a fear of not explaing myself well enough, so excuse the examples, if you follow already)

-You meet Person B... smile
-Person B semi-interests you... razz
-Person B introduces you to Person C, biggrin but makes it clear your "theirs"...

-turns out you'd rather've met Person C first sad

or...

how many times have you been introduced to a group friends who agreed that you were perfect for one particular person...only to find your more compatable with another in the group?

-You meet Persons A, B, and C... biggrin
-Persons A, B, and C have previously decided C should talk to you...(meaning your off limits to A and B)
-You talk to Person C neutral

-As you get to know all of them, you end up digging Person A more... confused

HOW DID IT FEEL TO STILL HAVE IT FOR THE FRIEND BUT NEVER SPEAK ON IT?

okay...

stories pleeez cool

I've had it happen several times, and even though I can't be claimed, I think it's kinda fucked up to start seeing the friend of someone who's attached to you.

I just had to let it pass.

Meaning you two got passed over by someone who ended up dating your friends instead?

Without knowing the specifics of your situation, I'd have a hard time with 'friends' like that.

I did have a hard time with them, which is why I no longer call some of them friends. lol It happened a couple of times with one chick. It seemed like as soon as I showed any interest in someone, she was after that person too. Ri-fucking-diculous. confused

It is ridiculous. My theory is that there are too many available, intelligent, attractive women out there for me to be involved with... no need to ruin any friendships in the process.

it hurt a lot
it happened with my best friend
i started talking to this guy that i was really interested in...and she showed no interest in at all...
talking to him one day and he flat out told me that he had absolutely no interest in me but he wanted to know my friend...
god that hurt.. i still hooked them up
i stopped speaking to them both for about a year
she and i are real close now and she still thanks me for what i did despite the obvious...
i have no attraction to him because of why he wanted her for me...

it's next to heart break - you lose a best friend and you feel rejection in the whole.

p.s.: 5 years later, they split evillol boxed

lol @ evillol

giggle in all seriousness though, they did work well for each other, dude would've got on my damn nerves...
and he really loved her and she him and blah blah
i kinda hope they get back together

in retrospect, i'm kind of happy it happened to me the way it did... i'm not sure why, but i learned something... or at least i'm a better person for enduring that and still making amends with her.

oh boy eek .. well .. it happened like this ..

i had just started seeing Person B and one day says 'let's go to my friend's' so i said fine..

so Person B brings me to Person C's house .. and from the door there was something.. some 'connection' .. all 3 of us hanging and playing pool ..in Person C's house .. and when Person B wasnt looking, Person C slipped their phone number to me .. right before we left ..

Person B went away for a week .... Person C got a call from me, but we only hung out disbelief, .. i dont know how Person B found out.. Person B forgave the incident and we never spoke of it again .. and they were friends disbelief doh!
