In the states, I think the figures dropped to 50/50 last year--I never thought I'd see that day. Everyone I know my age is cut except for some of the latinos. I know the US military stopped offering infant circumcisions in the 90s. The org is actually a unique place for me cause 90 percent of the women I know prefer cut, and some of them have never actually seen an intact penis.
Either way, I don't believe the reduced risk of HIV excuse is a valid reason to get circumcized--one should get it for aesthetic reasons if they so think it looks better, as a consenting adult. I don't see any other reason that makes sense except maybe religious  | |
