And totally OT (but sort of on topic). I have been watching the Dynasty DVD's and while the Gay Character Steven was "confused" in Saeon One and tried to overcome it by Marrying Sammy Jo, there is a specific episode (actually one that I profoundly remember in 1982 way before I came out) where he declares his homosexuality and asks his family to actually say it. It's heart breaking as NO ONE does and eventually his sister says it, but no one can bring themselves to say the "Gay" word. It was really moving.

I have a "play cousin" I've known since childhood who "came out" to me, years after she knew, but she really hasn't discussed it with the rest of the family. Since her mom passed a long time ago, who of which probably would have had a fit at first, then conceded since there is already a step-daughter in the family who is a lesbian and is well accepted. I don't think she really cares what the rest of her family thinks one way or the other.
