Daughters....

A lot of y'all know that I have 2 children..a son and a daughter...

I love my son...he's my first born and I enjoy watching him grow and look foward to seeing what kind of man he will be...
But my daughter...why can't she just stay 4 years old forever....of course I want to see her grow and live a full, happy, healthy life as a strong woman...but I wish I didn't have to lose my "lil' girl"...I've never known a more genuinely loving person in my life...I was watching them play yesterday and it just kind of hit me that she won't always be there, that she'll grow up and not always need her dads help or hugs or advice...I'm a blubbering fool, but it made me cry a lil' bit...it's wonderful to see her grow and learn and discover new things and it has created some wonderful memories...I just dread when the day comes that memories are all that's left.... sad ...I love you, Chloe...

Jason a little girl will always love her Dad as long as he respects her and and shows his love for her. Her own credit card when she is a teen-ager, doesn't hurt either. wink

Here is my sweet loving husband, and my beautiful daughter, Andrea.

Jason, you are a good man! And it sounds like you are an awesome Daddy as well. You little girl, will forever be your little girl! I am 36 and I love my Daddy with all my heart! And I still feel like I am a little girl when I am with him.

You are so lucky, two wonderful children! mushy

Now stop with all this sappy stuff. You are scaring me! lol

you are plugged in... that's the important part.
what a wonderful thing to watch as she learns and grows.
some daddies don't notice until she's a teenager
and it can be too late to make the connection.

Roodboi, I feel ya man. I have only one child and she's a beautiful 9 year old. Unfortunately she lives with her mom and not me. I see her every other weekend. And when she leaves there's a hole in my heart. She still loves her daddy, though. I bought her a cell phone for Christmas and every night she calls me before she goes to bed and sometimes in the morning to tell me what the weather's going to be like for that day. If I don't answer she'll leave me a wonderful message telling me how much she loves me. ("More than outer space", she says. I guess her vision of infinity.) I NEVER delete her messages. They delete on their own. But we have always had a close relationship. I'm not looking forward to her teenage years. I feel like she's not going to want to spend time with "dear old Dad" anymore so I'm doing whatever I can to make my little girl happy while it lasts. I can tell you're doing the same thing. Keep on being a great dad! biggrin
