Not really eloping, everyone knows and is happy for us. We are getting a lot of these kinds of comments "I wish we had done that". We just picked a place that we would love to honeymoon and we are going to get married while we are there. Keeping the cost and stress down for everyone.  | |

Yes I have loved ones who eloped, well they didn't go away but got married very quietly at home while we all thought they were going to go through with a large wedding. There were many personal reasons they did this and it all turned out for the best.
Close family and friends were hurt but understanding the circumstances puts it all in perspective. We're all pleased that they are healthy and happy. It was all about what they felt was the right thing for them to do, not about what anyone else thought. They are planning a first anniversary party to celebrate with everyone that would have been at the large wedding.
