I watched the entire movie last night and was stunned. I thought everyone involved did EXCELLENT acting jobs, even Ms. Latham stepped up. Sean Combs shocked me...HOWEVER Phylicia Rashad showed ALL THE WAY out.... I was STUNNED!

btw, I just checked, A RAISIN IN THE SUN carried ABC to a #1 ratings victory as the most watched network Monday night..

Well the one scene Oprah showed of Phylicia was riveting - it's Tivo'd & will most likely be watched tonight. Not looking forward to Puffy but I won't officially dog him until I see him in it He exec produced it, so I'm assuming he gave himself the role b/c I heard he sucked on Broadway. Think of all the folks who could have done it better! But it's about bringing in the silly hip hop kids, I guess. Do they even identify w/ him anymore?? Anyway, I like everyone else they cast so I'm looking forward to it.

By the way, I didn't get last month's Essence but I flipped through it today - did y'all know Debbie Allen is directing Cat On a Hot Tin Roof w/ Phylicia Rashad, James Earl Jones, Anika Noni Rose (from Dreamgirls) & Terrence Howard?!! I wanna fly to NY to see THAT

Beleive it or not, Puffy did VERY WELL..he was VERY convincing..however Phylicia stole the show
