You will love it.. nod

Im up at 2am as the jet lag has messed me about a bit. Im just observing tommorow before I actually make a start on Monday. The hotel Im in is great! Ive got a huge TV, some free nibbles and smelly stuff, a jacuzzi bathroom and the internet! Will be looking forward to getting in to my apartment though.

I went out last night for some delicious Korean food. Im going to try and stay healthy as far as that's concerned. There's loads of Western fast food joints around the place. Tyring to get used to the kimchi!

Cool!!! Kimchi is an acquired taste thats for sure but I eat it everyday now. nod Its very healthy.. You will prolly find that NO Korean is vegetarian, cos they all love meat.. you must go and have a Korean barbeque when you can hug

OMG I got some good news to tell you too! dancing jig

OK guys so a brief update so far...It felt quite natural being here what with my travels previously. In fact, its almost like starting university. Im the second oldest out of the foreign teachers but we are all in the same boat and get along great. They are really friendly, helpful and Canadian! I feel somewhat special being the only Brit and feel a sense of pride. Im not normally nationalistic!!

The school is pretty good. The Korean supervisors are helpful and friendly enough. The Canadians bitch and moan but I think you have to pretty much let things slide. I think my travels pretty much feel relaxed about things as Im sure they will you. We are all going into Seoul for St Patricks Day at th weekend and I might be playing ultimate frisbee on Sunday if the weather's nice! I also pulled on the first night out but you aren't interested in that kind of thing I know!

OK the kids!...They are really sweet. Sometimes annoying but I get a real kick out of teaching them new words. I have taught my kindergarten kids to play 'rock, scissors, paper' in English! The older kids are already quite accomplished in the English language and I am basically getting paid to listen to them speak English really! Not a bad job eh?! Having said I have to be be really well prepared especially being new. I want to create a good impression and to show I mean business.

All the Koreans ask me about is soccer and particularly Manchester United because of Park! Scotty (school admin guy) picked me up from the football and all we talked about was football (I said soccer I know, its catching on!). His English isnt great but its a world language! He wants me to show him some techniques! I wasnt the most gifted footballer though unless he's interested in hoofing balls a long way!!

The apartment I am is pretty cool and Im luckily living next to one of the other teachers (Katie). She had to go home though this week due to to family bereavement. Tai (American girl is in there temporarily who had my place). Scotty set up the internet for me me straight away and its pretty fast and connects as soon as I turn my computer on! Neato!

The food is pretty tasty and there's a few international resteraunts around aswell. Also there's the usual crap like McDonals and KFC etc. I had a coffee in McDonalds but Im trying to resist.

As for Suji. Its OK but not great. Its a modern city so there's nothing cultureal in it. I guess I have to venture further to see that which I will do in time and once Im totally relaxed here.

Thanks Chief. The music is shockingly bad though. Maroon 5 played here last week so Im hoping for a big improvement all the way round. Still, Ive got my music downloader, huge memory I-Pod and speakers so it's all good. Mogwai is playing right now...

Thanks. Its like 10pm in the evening so I wrote that in a rush. Thus, I apologise for some of the grammatical errors!
