Have ya'll heard about this? Sorry I don't have a link to the story but it was so bizarre that I figured u guys may have heard it on the news, wherever u may be. This went down Sunday night out here in So. California. In the city of Fullerton, at an AMC theatre during the film "The Signal". Some dude went off and stabbed two people during a scene where someone gets stabbed in the movie. U talking about life imitating art. Can anybody spell the flick "Scream"? Their still running the same film in the same theatre where this went down. Man, if I was in my teens and this was the 80's, this theatre would be turning folks away, it would be that PACKED. Just thought it was way out and was curious to see who else had heard about this. Actually, I'm surprised that something like this hadn't happened before now. Perhaps it has. Anyone else hip to this story?

i seriously used to have a major fear of this kind of thing happening at the theater when i'd go see scary movies, especially when i was a kid. i grew up in the same town my mom grew up in, and back in her day the town cinema would have all-day creature features on saturday afternoons and the employees would put on masks and sneak up behind audience members during the movies and scare the crap out of all the kiddies. i was SOOO scared of that kind of thing happening...though maybe the murderers were killing people for seeing bad movies. i think john waters should be taken in for questioning.

It's ironic; As a kid, I used to feel really safe in a theatre. Especially when it was packed. I used to have this thing for sitting up hella close to the screen. And having a packed house sitting behind me. And having all of the noise and vibes surrounding me. To me, that was a part of the film. Never did it ever cross my mind that some shit like this could happen. But really, that's a perfect place for something like that to go down. But hell, ask Wes Craven. It's dark, it's noisy, everyone's eyes are looking toward one thing. Everyone is sitting down....I hope this doesn't start a trend from a bunch of copycat sicko's.

They've since reported on the news out here in sunny California that the dude that went off on the stabbing rampage was in the same theatre earlier that day and was asked to leave by security because he was drunk. So he came back later that night.

I honestly don't care to see these types of films IN the theatre. I prefer to wait until they're on DVD and watch them from the comfort (and now safety, apparently) of my own home.

I was watching The Mist at my local cinema and this woman kind of stood up in the aisle looking around at the audience for a long time and I thought "What if she brandishes a gun and starts shooting!?"

Back in the old days, I remember when folks were not afraid to ask people to sit down, or say "shhhh!" if somebody got too loud during a movie. ..I imagine these days that's just not possible, trying to exhibit good citizenship or consideration for your neighbors can literally get your ass sliced

That is one of my biggest pet peeves! Rude people in a theatre!
