About 80% of your kind are fueled by the mania lol You can't say that there isn't a societal effect of women fearing sexual expression at the risk of being labeled a slut or that men generally don't perceive women that way or that straight men and women engage in MASSIVE games in order to hook up. I'm not talking about Martian activity here lol

oh no, of course you're not, but i don't expect a guy to fucking bow and scrape for me. yeah, we're often labeled sluts if we express our sexuality, how is that our fault though?

It's not your fault. It's the fault of men who so desperately want you to be able to just go with the flow immediately if you feel like it but then talk shit about you because you did. They are getting what they deserve really lol

The justification! falloff

Is this encounter with me as bad as the last one? lol

The baby one? Oh, you mean the half Thai pool boy one. falloff I think nothing tops the baby incident for wtf factor.

This thread isn't a tip, it's mocking and you know it! lol Opinions, cool, but there's a difference between offering one up with humility and 'telling' people about themselves and what they should do. It's no biggie if it sits ok with you, but any halfway intelligent person knows the way the responses will be depending on how it's set up and you've a little fiend on your shoulder. wink

It IS a tip! I have straight out given men advice on how they can 1) Save money and 2) Find out if their woman is really marrying them for love if they happen to find out. The refusal of women to accept this has led to what you view as mockery lol But there is a tip in there nod

you have to add a disclaimer onto this that not ALL straight people do that.

oh, so straight people can make gross generalizations about the gays, but now the gays can't make gross generalizations about the het'ras? THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!! no no no!

You are so right! I came here to take a breather from all the threads the breeders have started about gay relationships. lol

It's only deceitful if she finds out. What she doesn't know won't kill her. She wanted a ring, she got a ring. That sounds pretty truthful to me lol

And just like Anxypoo pointed out, I doubt any of you broads would be the least bit angry if he lied about giving you a CZ but it really was a diamond lol

This isn't about the lie, it's about entitlement.

lol whofarted

Did you know that sometimes two straight people find they like each other, hook up quite naturally and without fuss, start hanging out a lot, find they like each other, have sex, sometimes even get married, without all the games you're alluding to? Sounds crazy, I know, but it happens. You make it sound like all straight people are these neurotic, insecurity-ridden scatterbrains constantly completely ill at ease in the dating and relationship world. lol

Notice how there had to be a PROGRESSION to the sex part? Notice that you didn't say that men and women can hook up for the sake of sex without all this societal baggage connected to their whoredom if they do? lol

of course it is the latter rolleyes

It is symbolic. It is something that has gained a kind of western world universal meaning a "diamond is a symbol of forever". Like any tradition anywhere.

Loads of people all over the place buck tradition, for many reasons. Some choose not to because it sits well with them, and others because they are too weak to buck it.

If you felt your love deserved everything you could give them, and a big rock symbolises that, and the recipient felt the same, then it works.

However, a nice big rock is no substitute for all the other things a strong relationship requires razz

Well I'm probably secretly jealous because I'm not included in this societal shindig shhh

You guys need to start an expensive and exclusive tradition of your own mr.green

Ok, so let me look at my own situation based on your advice Mr. smartass. Say I decided to try out this wonderful weederouter of a tip. It's really not a stretch to think that Mon could've said she wouldn't marry me if I didn't meet what she'd see as the obligations of me marrying her, a Thai woman. She did actually put pressure on me about certain customs as it is. I dunno dude, but I'm thinking that it's probably best to come with the cash and gold. lol It wouldn't have been through not loving me that she would've said no go to the marriage in the case of me not fulfilling the obligations. Point is, that advice may not be so great for individual people in their own particular circumstances, so what is it good for? A nameless bunch of people lumped together by sexual orientation as a whole, or basically typed words on a page? I demand to see your credentials mister! mad

Personally I prefer not to venture out of the house to concerts or anything lest I come across any gay people and begin interacting with them. I might learn something I shouldn't and that would only jeopardise my generalisation threads. nod

look, anything you need to know about the gays has been painstakingly detailed in multiple seasons of will & grace, which has been lovingly packaged in many collector's edition DVD sets. i only know this because as a gay, i am obligated to purchase anything that says "collector's edition" on it.

if you give me the ring and tell me it's cubic zirconium and you saved us $9,000 I would be happy. If you told me it was a diamond and it looked like $10,000 I would be doubtful and suspicious unless you were loaded, and if you were struggling to make ends meet I would be angry.
