I'm not talking about Martian activity here oh no, of course you're not, but i don't expect a guy to fucking bow and scrape for me. yeah, we're often labeled sluts if we express our sexuality, how is that our fault though? It's not your fault. It's the fault of men who so desperately want you to be able to just go with the flow immediately if you feel like it but then talk shit about you because you did. It's no biggie if it sits ok with you, but any halfway intelligent person knows the way the responses will be depending on how it's set up and you've a little fiend on your shoulder. It IS a tip! I have straight out given men advice on how they can 1) Save money and 2) Find out if their woman is really marrying them for love if they happen to find out. The refusal of women to accept this has led to what you view as mockery But there is a tip in there 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Sounds crazy, I know, but it happens. You make it sound like all straight people are these neurotic, insecurity-ridden scatterbrains constantly completely ill at ease in the dating and relationship world. Notice how there had to be a PROGRESSION to the sex part? Notice that you didn't say that men and women can hook up for the sake of sex without all this societal baggage connected to their whoredom if they do? Lawd, where's JustErin when you need her?

SupaFunkyOrgangrinderSexy said: ZombieKitten said: of course it is the latter It is symbolic. It is something that has gained a kind of western world universal meaning a "diamond is a symbol of forever". Like any tradition anywhere. Loads of people all over the place buck tradition, for many reasons. Some choose not to because it sits well with them, and others because they are too weak to buck it. If you felt your love deserved everything you could give them, and a big rock symbolises that, and the recipient felt the same, then it works. However, a nice big rock is no substitute for all the other things a strong relationship requires Well I'm probably secretly jealous because I'm not included in this societal shindig You guys need to start an expensive and exclusive tradition of your own

The refusal of women to accept this has led to what you view as mockery But there is a tip in there Ok, so let me look at my own situation based on your advice Mr. smartass. Say I decided to try out this wonderful weederouter of a tip. It's really not a stretch to think that Mon could've said she wouldn't marry me if I didn't meet what she'd see as the obligations of me marrying her, a Thai woman. She did actually put pressure on me about certain customs as it is. I dunno dude, but I'm thinking that it's probably best to come with the cash and gold. It wouldn't have been through not loving me that she would've said no go to the marriage in the case of me not fulfilling the obligations. Point is, that advice may not be so great for individual people in their own particular circumstances, so what is it good for? A nameless bunch of people lumped together by sexual orientation as a whole, or basically typed words on a page? I demand to see your credentials mister!
