Thanks to all of you! I was really down yesterday. I am much better today. The issue was that we thought he was going to be ok based on what my dad said, and according to the doctor. The truth was, though, that my dad was lying to everyone about what the doctor was saying to him. He didn't want us to worry, I guess. So, it was quite a blow to me that things weren't as great as I had thought, and I had to process it.

Thanks again to everyone!

sad
my dad did that as well, when he was 1st diagnosed, he wanted to protect us all- mum thought everything was okay 4 at least a week- we all had to tip-toe around her- and b careful what we said- it wasnt our place to tell her.
then when dad got real bad- we had to tip-toe around him, he didnt know we knew- it was so hard not to cry in front of him sad
im really missing him today cry

once again, i hope all goes well 4 ur dad pray rose

Sorry to hear that Gemini. My brother is a survivor of that so keep the hope and just pray, miracles can happen.

I've worked and still work with cancer patients for 12 years, and many of them are some of the strongest people I have ever met. It also helps when family members stay as positive as they can towards their loved ones who are stricken with it, because it's that positive attitude that keeps them strong and gives them strength.
