I got one, and have a good recipe if you want it, though I don't know if it is in the style you are used to No, I used to own a waffle maker long ago. I love any kind of waffle. I used to live with someone that loved pancakes and waffles and Sunday mornings we would make one of the two. I honestly have not made or consumed a pancake or waffle in about two years probably. So since I have been trying to stay away from breads, pasties and sweets... I guess I will stick with my Special K in the mornings. It is weird, they do not eat a lot of pancakes and waffles here. Luckily I am not a big breakfast person. Baked beans for breakfast How disgusting... Give me pancakes and hashbrowns/home fries and I am happy. Bagels.... now there is something I have not had in a really long time as well and I do not see them here either. Too right!!!! British breakfasts are so boring!! Its either toast and Marmite or marmalade or honey; fry-ups(and not the way the USA does them either!!!!) with bacon, sausages, eggs, fried tomatoes, mushrooms, sauteed left-over potatoes and fried bread; boiled eggs with either bread or toast "soldiers", poached eggs on toast; meusli or just plain cereal!! I just stick 2 wholewheat toast and Marmite!! Our fried breakfasts are far more fat-inducing that the American ones, cos they are prepared totally different from each other!!! I really crave a really nice American breakfast right now, with eggs over easy(or a really nice fluffy Spanish/country-style omelette), hashbrowns, sausage links or patties, crispy bacon, pancakes or waffles with whipped butter or whipped cream and maple syrup on the side, a bottomless mug of coffee, orange juice!! Or even a really nice American skillet breakfast!! I also love the maple syrup poured over the crispy bacon!! Or, I also love biscuits and gravy!!!! Somehow the Brits havent got a clue how 2 do nice breakfasts!!! Pancakes in the USA and the UK are entirely different!! Our pancakes in the USA are called crepes!! Now I am really drooling!!! I have a list of groceries to buy and a list of things for my mom to make for us. Sausage biscuits and gravy are on the list for sure.... I am hungry now... I just finished exercising too.

Christopher said: oh yes! i would hump that plate if it was near me! what food u been craving lately? I don't have an appetite right now... but those Banana Pancakes could definitely do the trick, if I was hungry. I just ate a fresh baked apple turnover that my Aunt made yesterday. She makes the best pie crust. Yum.
