book buddy my son came home from school and told me he was now a book buddy
his school has a book buddy program- where older kids go into the younger kids classrooms and help them with reading, do various activities and become sort of mentors to the younger kids. the class my sons group helps has my nephew in it- and they chose each other as book buddies another little boy approached my son- and my nephew said- no- he is mine but my gorgeous son told this other little boy- if he couldnt find anyone else- he would help him to - my- he is growing up this proud mummy just wanted to share seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before | |

its is- i still get a little tear in my eye when i talk about it- that will wear off eventually seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before | |

I remember some of the 6th graders coming into my class when I was in the 1st grade. I got stuck with the nerd of the 6th grade. Her whole class called her "booger picker". She was nice to me though, taught me how to braid, and I never witnessed her picking her nose. Shake it til ya make it | |

it's horrible how kids can be labelled from one incident we had a new girl in our class called Liza. She was very pretty and outgoing. One day she sneezed and a big green snot landed on the table in front of her and everyone saw it. She had no future in that school after that day | |
