I never do the same foot first. I usually just slide my foot into the closest shoe.


I use the crook of my left arm. We're required to use our arms here at the hospital and avoid hand contact with face//germs. Why the left? I do everything I can to avoid moving my right arm. Rotator cuff is always tight.

Everywhere I can go, I 'own', more or less. I've got no urge to purchase land for money, as you don't really own it.


I'm fond of the eucalyptus. After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco, I like to drive through the Presidio and Golden Gate Park and roll down all the windows, and breathe the clean, eucalptus-scented air.


Friends and I still rollerblade once or twice a year, however out of style it's been. It's good for the ankles/calves. Plus, it's fun.


I did last night, kinda. Stood nude on my balcony watching the eclipse. It was dark, obviously.

As for running around, I've got to, one of these days! The closest I've gotten was camping on the beach, where we all wore our underwear by the fire.


Not yet. It rarely storms that hard here, though.

What's your fave tree? Why ? There's this tree on Lake Calhoun that turns the prettiest golden color in the fall and when the sun's setting it hits it just right, it's downright breathtakingly beautiful.

it's lucky if it gets through the wash three times a year. post winter, post wet part of spring, and pre winter.

i suppose i do! hadn't thought about it like that before. my uncle left his two adjoining houses in the village he lived in to my sister and me. technically it's still the estate.

What's your fave tree? Why ?
as individual trees i like the fruit trees at the farm. they are old and don't produce much anymore but i think about them as nursery stock that my grandparents planted and cared for in the 40's. i like that they live on. continuity.

as for varieties... the maple leaf is on our nation's flag but the kind that grows the big beautiful leaves doesn't grow in the area i live in. so i enjoy seeing that tree on travels to places it does grow. haven't seen it in all it's fall crimson glory yet though. and i like weeping willows. they look rather storybook like but again, they don't do so well in this local area.

i had adjustable skates as a kid that you wore over your shoe. as a farm kid it was hard to find enough smooth cement to do more than shuffle along. but that might have been because i was scared of falling too haven't been on my ice skates for a few years now. only time i need them is in calgary. i should just leave them there since i keep forgetting to take them along when i go.

only time i've been completely naked outside was at the farm. it's very freeing but i prefer to feel the sun on my skin. i went out in my backyard in my bra last summer though. in my mind i dared anyone to come close enough to be able to tell it wasn't a bikini top.

no! but i bet your hair feels really soft after. when it pours i have gone outside and gotten soaked trying to catch the soft water from the downspouts in garbage containers and buckets for watering plants later. i am sure all my neighbors roll their eyes at me when i'm doing it but i have mucked about in the water since childhood. you can't stop me now!
