Have you ever read a strangers' pms by accident?

I have an email address I rarely use and 2 days I got an email that told me that someone has sent me a pm on a forum I never heard of. As I was not totally sure if I might have registered there some day without remembering I tried to log in and as it didn't work I clicked the option for getting my password sent to my email address. Today I got it together with my username there. I logged in and found out that it's somebody elses's account. The person has exchanged pms with somebody else and I read them. It was not even on purpose, I clicked the pm I had gotten and it quoted a pm that has been sent from "my" account before. It felt weird. I wonder if somebody else ever might have read pms I have exchanged on a forum? eek

I don't think I associate the acronym "PMS" the same way you do.

But in either case, my answer is HELL NO.

No, just some discussion about which artists they like, which concerts they are attending and whether they have a myspace or not shrug.

so ... yes lol

anyway, if I'd receive an e-mail from a forum I don't know, or I don't remember registering ... I'd always opt to get my password sent to me, which usually offers some verification instead of trying a few passwords I think I might have used on there (including some I use on other accounts ....). It may be innocent but you may also just have been subject to a scam of some sort.

Yeah, I'm paranoid when it comes to the internet, except when it concerns photowhoring lol

Apostrophe's would equally as well. nod Cuz you know some see pms and accident in the same sentence and come to think certain things.

Just ordinary Messages, like orgnotes or myspace messages for example.

I didn't try a password as I didn't know my username.
