Considering I'm adopted and was adopted through the State of California...I'm so happy for you I'm tearing up, actually.
I pretty sure my mother is dead by now - she had cerebral palsy and I'm 32 now, but man, it'd be really something to at least know her name. [Edited 2/19/08 19:33pm]

I feel connected to someone, and I have a history at last. she's been keeping tabs on me my whole life, she told me things about my childhood that lead me to believe that she had been talking to someone. she mentioned a social worker. she called the state of california and said you have to help me find my child. she paid someone to find me. I have 2 brothers. wow. wow is right, hope all goes well honey

I on the other hand am still convinced my parents are not my real parents ... That's the same way I feel. At least I think my mother wasn't my biological mother. I didn't put anything out until 2001 and it was mainly in search of siblings. I recently petitioned to have my medical records released and signed a consent to contact but like I said I really was expecting siblings. I never really considered that she would be actively looking for me. Don't worry about rejection before you even know anything, We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.
