Actually, if you read about all it can do on Amazon - I believe you can send Amazon ANY kind of document file (word, pdf) and they will up load it for you and send it to your Kindle.

Okay, I want a kindle that I can load books onto myself. Already. Damn.

Sony makes one like that...the whole idea of the Kindle is so that it's all done wirelessly... (is that word?)

I'd buy one if it would work with word files for Gutenberg books. All of them classics; mushy

I REALLY want one of these! I am hoping I'll be able to read scripts this way someday soon!

The reviews are a little mixed, but lean toward the positive mostly.

If these really catch on, Bezos is changing the publishing world.

Hi I was just reading through...For script reading have you tried http://www.e-sword.net their pocket PC version, they have a lot of different options of literature.

Well, they haven't started submitting the scripts electronically... YET... but in a year or two they will so many options are being weighed. Actual computer readers exist which are roughly the size of book-like laptop - but they are cumbersome to carry around, and csreen resolution isn't as good as the Kindle.
