I LOVE finding Photoshop tutorials

They're so fun.

Here are my results for the day - two wallpapers.

(linked because they're big)

(I think I blurred it a bit too much, but I still like it)

I have Photoshop CS2 and I like it, but it's lacking Nikon Capture's colour, black and white control points. If they had a better way to do spot editing like with say clone tools then Nikon Capture NX would be the complete program for me. Works nicer with RAW and NEF than Photoshop too.

Well, when it comes to B&W, CS3 actually has a great tool to work on that. They really improved the program a lot.
Smart Objects is the best new tool IMO, where you can apply effects in a non-destructive way.
There are a lof of good tutorials for photographers on that link too.

Sounds good. I'm thinking I should get CS3 really. Anyone interested in this kinda thing who hasn't already done so should check out Nikon Capture NX though and try the colour control point tool. It's just an intuitive way to affect specific parts of a photo. I use it all the time now. By the black and white control points I meant affecting either only the black areas or the highlights.

Well, Photoshop has all these tools. It's just a matter of knowing they are there, and how to use them. Try the levels or the curves tools. You'll find them usefule. They are in CS2 also.
