Some audiophiles like to diss on Bose, but I really don't understand it... I've demoed Bose sound systems, headphones and the like for years and they have always produced very rich and distinct sound. I grew up with Bose Speakers my dad bought in the 70s and even they held up fine until I blew them out in the late 90s. lol

I think the fact that they are such an easy quality choice puts off audiophiles because they don't feel "exclusive" enough.

Anywho, happy listening.

I listen to headphones rarely these days, but I do have a pair of Sennheiser´s but those BOSE ones look good music

My Bose headphones sound great, but the sound canceling thing is a weird sensation. Like a loud silence or something.

Still they're really great in loud places like planes or trains where I would have to turn up the volume twice as loud with other headphones.

I am listening to "Endorphinmachine: over these right now:

And they sound every bit as good as they did when I bought them in 1977!

Anxiety

i want fancypants headphones but i treat all my earphones/headphones pretty rough, so i feel like it's a waste of money to get anything too nice because i'm just going to step on them and break them or else they'll get screwed up in my messenger bag or my cat will chew up the cord. SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN. nod

i got a pair of $30 phillips earbuds and after a few years of using their $20 earbuds, it sounds like cloud9 so maybe i'll just slowly work my way up the ladder of nice earphones.

I'm quite eager to get my hands on a pair of their noise reduction headphones although they are expensive. Ebay I reckon. If anyone has a pair are they worth it and why?

I've gone through more money in quality headphones than I care to admit but I like the ones that fit into your ears.

I'm loving the Bose right now but I need to try them out in the summer when sweat is involved.

I like their speakers, so I bought a pair of the Triport ear buds last year. Worst 'decent' headphones ever! Like listening to music underwater.

I have had 2 pair of the Tri-port....beautiful sound, no matter what you're listening to....

...but now I've upgraded to these....they sit perfectly on the ear and the sound is as flawless as usual....

You can pick up any style of Bose headphones at Best Buy, Circuit City, Target....pretty much anywhere that sells audio equipment....Bose also has their own site that you can order from....nod

BOSE is really a good and reliable brand with a distinct sound but I want to give KOSS a try the next time I buy headphones. Their PortaPro and SportaPro models are said to be the best you can get in that price range, supposedly far superior to any other brand. Anybody ever heard of KOSS ?

For some reason, earbuds scare me. I'm afraid they're more likely to damage my hearing.

Am I crazy?

I use Sennheisers in the studio, and they smoked the Sonys I was using.

I had some KOSS headphones back in the day when I was DJing...good set...really good sound response...the bass would kick, but it wouldn't drown out the highs like some other headsets will....and I got a pair of their cheapie ear buds while I was in Iraq....again good sound, but earbuds don't work for me, so I moved on to something else....
