The penguins in Boulders are very used to humans, but they seem to do okay. We were told that they tried to move most of them to somewhere near Port Elizabeth I think as the people who live in Boulders are annoyed by the penguins who piss in their backyards, but that they all returned back home to Boulders. So they seem to enjoy it there despite the tourists. We also visited 2 other penguin colonies in South Africa and they were quite shy there.
