i think i want a second laptop, but i'm having a hard time justifying it since i already own a laptop. it doesn't help that i want a second laptop so i can have one for when i don't want to get out of bed, because i'm too lazy to get up and unplug the one from my desk and carry it into the bedroom. redface

i should be flailed. disbelief

oh and i think i want a new mp3 player too, but the one i have is like ol' yeller. it's going to break my heart to take it out back and send it to zen nomad heaven. sigh

I'm living the simple life (code for po') and have neither of those things, but would kill for an MP3 player. I've even bought them and returned them, unable to enjoy them / justify the lavish purchase. neutral

Through all of my researching and comparison, I seriously can't make up my mind on which kind to get.

Pointless post, really. redface

i'm looking at the classic iPods at the apple site...they have really good prices on the 80gb, and really that's what i care about - having jumbo assloads of memory to store all my music. i've been kind of a refusenik about iPod up to this point, though...i need to work through that. confused

having no microwave is inconvenient, but fortunately it waited until id regained a bit more motility in my hand and arm before croaking.

but ive actually been having to heat things up on the stovetop, can you imagine? barbaric!

would the proffered toaster oven be hand-delivered by a beautiful canadian? biggrin

i find that some things are actually better heated on the stovetop - i'd never heat water for tea or other warm beverages in the microwave, for example. i know it's faster and it's very common to nuke hot water, but it's teapot or nothing for me. nod

i use the microwave quite a bit just for the sake of convenience, but you're right. many things really do taste better heated or cooked on the stovetop.

my mother always makes scrambled eggs in the microwave. i will only make them in a skillet on the stovetop. i think they taste weird made in the microwave.
