Private School Update.... I interviewed yesterday afternoon....and.....I'M IN!!! She initially told me the interview would be a half hour sit down, and before I knew it..she was giving me a tour of the school!! She said I would not have to be certified by the state of Georgia as they are a private school and also went on to tell me I should submit my "Letter of Interest" to the Head of School for openings coming up this next fall!!
I am very excited to get back into a classroom and actually helping a child that actually has a "chance" in society!! I am waiting on the background check to clear, but that is no problem...as long as she stays away from the org...LOL  The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them. -- Mark Twain.

My 15 year old and my 10 year old go to private school. My son graduated last year from college, after attending private school his whole life, and my 4 year old will start private school in the fall. I am a big believer in the private school system. What an experience you are in for Dex. Only 13 kids per class, parents that are involved, and students that are actually there to learn. Congratulations! | |

Seriously though Dex, this is GREAT, EXCELLENT news! I'm very happy for you and you'll be just what some of those kids need cos you KNOW that some of them will come into your classroom prejudiced and you'll kick those to the curb in 15 minutes...and the girls will have instant crushes on you.  | |

I know! During the tour I seen at least TWO teachers in each classroom and sometimes three!! Parental involvement is some shape or form EVERYDAY!!
