I only keep things that mean a lot to me (like a few pics). I cannot throw everything away from my past. Though saying that I arrived here with 7 plastic storage totes so I guess I have cleared out a lot of old mementos.
Though the past makes me the person I am today...so I do like to have a few reminders of how far I have come.

i guess that makes sense...i dunno, i've just always tossed things from past relationships when i come across them. i also tend to not stay friends with exes though, maybe that's why shrug

Past relationships mark me inside, i am reminded every day of why it ended, how, and the things that go with that. That reminds me so i dont feel the need to have pictures or cards or the like. That tends to be about the good stuff etc and that often makes it more painful to remember what you were, what your hopes and dreams were and how they were lost. I don't like doing that despite it making me who i am. I prefer to focus on the future

I do not keep cards or letters from previous boyfriends or anything like that.
Just some pics of important days and periods in my life.

Yes, I have several things. The best (and probably creepiest) are empty cologne bottles that when I smell them it brings back all the good thoughts...like getting roughed up on the kitchen table, ya know...things like that.

Rhondab

I'll keep pics but right now I'm trying to rid myself of furniture and certain items we had when we co-habitated.

New things...moving on.
