You don't pick up the car in Stockholm. I forget the city, but I know it's not Stockholm.

Maybe, but we can drive the car anywhere we want. I'm sure we'd go to Stockholm, among other places.

My parents once took delivery of a Mercedes convertible in Germany (they lived in Wisconsin at the time). They drove it through the Black Forest and Austria before having it shipped home.

They said it was a blast. cool

Thank the Lord that was before the dollar crashed doh!. These days, when friends inquire if they should do it, considering how much bang ya get for a buck these days I practically scream " NOOOOO shake" lol lol lol

Interesting idea, Schro. I'm a sucker for German imports, and I've thought casually about this from time to time.

Is the cost with shipping still a lot cheaper than the price you'd pay in the U.S. market?

Ok... how is Volvo and Germany related? Help me out here.

Awww, sorry it's not personal hug It's just the Org way of ribbing on each other if somebody says something you don't like. rose I checked our profile and saw you're new, the learning curve can be kinda steep pat It's ok, I have nothing against your personally at all,you were only trying to help. In GD, being helpful in a case like this is giving RodeoSchro a ready-made itinerary to Stockholm so he and I can go about our merry day thinking we'll hang out. lol

you'll probably have to go to the factory 45 mins north of Göteborg hah!

What's so funny about Göteborg?

It's quite far from Stockholm. My uncle worked at the volvo plant as a test driver for decades.
