Our white pines are stunning The jack pines on the other hand Not sure what a jack pine looks like, but I probably have seen it. Need to do a search on Google. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Moderator | Hey! It was 11 degrees when I left for work and we still had school! No fair. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Remember when we were kids and they not only made us go to school but they FORCED us to go outside in artic weather for recess? We'd huddle together in groups, breathe slowly and try not to die. I don't know whether I'm relieved or terribly saddened to hear that wasn't just my experience. I thought our school superintendent hated children and tried to kill us every winter. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I honestly don't know why they closed the schools, since I don't remember the schools ever being cancelled due to cold weather when I was a kid. I guess they were worried about kids getting frostbite or something. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

We are so spoiled out in California, it never is too cold for school to be cancelled. But they have cancelled a few times because it was raining very hard.

I can understand that, because when it rains hard, there is the chance of flooding. Two days after I made this post, they are AGAIN cancelling classes. Wow, this is wild! RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
