I was on Kid's World when I was in 3rd grade. I had to sit on a desk with other students around me and say "hi this is Carrie Kids world will be right back after these commercial breaks" it took about 15 takes and I got in trouble because my mom noticed I stole her panty hose. They were scrunched down to my ankles lol

I've been on TV a lot. The first time (that I know of), I was on national TV during the Big Ten Round-up (a sports program). I was on my college's dance team and they shot me shaking my can at an away game at Ohio State.

I made my living doing TV weather for three years. And when I worked as a journalist later, I was in a lot of cutaway shots and B-roll covering various events.

I also was an extra in the feature film Chain Reaction - which gets shown on TV from time to time.

Wait! The first time I was on TV was on my 6th birthday, on a local kid/cartoon show. (I got a chocolate cake.) I was also on another kid show a couple times for the birthdays of other kids I knew.

Glimpses of me have been on tv several times.

I was in the audience for the Ricki Lake show once years ago and while I never stood up and asked a question, they showed me and my friend Pamela's "reactions" several times on camera.

I've been spotted on the local news a couple of times, all Prince-related, usually in some kind of line, going in to Paisley Park, waiting for tickets outside of Macy's... confused

And I was in a commercial a couple of years ago for Minnesota AIDS Project's annual charity event/Official Oscar Party. There was a clip of me walking the red carpet all glammed up from the year before when I had attended. I never even saw that commercial, but I kept having people come up to me telling me they'd seen me in it and I remember being filmed. lol

* The first times I was on TV, I was about 6 or 7 and I was being interviewed by some roving reporter about Santa Claus. To my father's horror, I insisted he was fake. (My parents went whole hog on Christmas, and he thought my mother would be pissed. redface)
* In high school, I was an audience member in a Cleveland-area late-night horror movie show. One of the hosts walked through the audience and interacted with me a bit. lol That was big fun back then.
* In undergrad, I was interviewed on the news about the politics around Black History Month

The most recent time I was on TV is this past Summer when I was on VH-1's World Series of Pop Culture. We didn't win, but it was quite possibly the most fun I've ever had with clothes on.

A couple of news slots and I featured in an episode of Primetime in the US always as geek scientist holding tubes, gazing at data in a pensive way and doing a bit of pipetting.

I was a guest on Larry King Live.

Was used in a commercial for my job.

Had several fashion shows taped for local news.

Was seen as an audience member on Jerry Springer. This was before it turned into total chaos. It was actually a Christmas show about reuniting lost family members. sad

In the U.S., twice. First after Hurricane Andrew, then last it was just for a soundbite at the US memorial held for Gianni Versace after he was murdered. I had actually freelanced for company headquaters for a couple of years and I knew the family then, so...

In Europe, I've seen glimpses of myself on occaision if I'm working on a photo project that for some reason is being part of a bigger documentary or something. Then for my side hobby of singing I see glimpses of myself on the news a couple times a year when the artist I'm working for is being covered during concerts or touring stops, and then I've seen myself during a couple of concert specials. I'm always amazed at the size of my own head on film- it's HUMONGOUS ill lol

I was on "Landscape Smart" once.

you can find the synopsis here:
http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/...7,00.html

We re-did my parents back yard and took it from looking like a war zone to this really nice seating area with a lawn and such. It was a great experience. It also forever changed the mytique that was TV. Once you get a look at the behind the scenes your view of every other show that follows will NEVER be the same.

fun tho' biggrin

Me and my friend were walking past Glasgow infirmary and we spotted a TV Crew.He dared me to put him off.We had had a few drinks.
I feel terrible now that I see it cos it was quite a serious story and it was going out live.

anyway heres the clip.

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I was filmed in an Egyptian soap opera in Cairo, but I don't know if I ever made the cut. They recruited Westerners from youth hostels to be in their shows. I had to sit at a fancy restaurant across the table from an Arab sheik like this

except he was much younger and flaming gay. I appreciate the experience, but it was incredibly boring and I only got paid $10 for the day.
