I recently saw a documentary about what happens to chimps when they get too big and wild to work in film.

I support several shelters that take in chimps from movie work and such, but it is only in the states that the action is so closely monitored. It was a follow up to a documentary that was done in the early 80s. They revealed that not a whole lot has changed when it comes to chimps. Dogs, cats, horses...yes. But large exotic animals, no. They did talk about 2 sancuaries, but most working chimps do not end up in those. | |
