Taratino Wants to remake Faster Pussycat Kill Kill. LOL

Quentin Tarantino to remake 'Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!'

One of the great cult explotation films (featuring women, too!) is set to be remade in the future by Quentin Tarantino. Though it's just a desire on his part, Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! is one of Tarantino's favorite films and he wants Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian, and Eva Mendes to star in it. Will it happen?

Seriously, I was pretty stoked for this until I saw the preliminary cast desires Tarantino wants. I understand the entire idea of the film is to make it exploitative trash, but Britney Spears? Who knows if she'll even be alive by the time Tarantino wants to make the film?

Ok, low blow. I'll move on.

There's a part of me that really does love Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! for it's boldness to include powerful women at the helm of the action. In a world where men extrapolate their patriarchal dominance into cinema, it's refreshing to see females in lead roles that kick ass. The sexual power that Varla, Rosie, and Billie use to their advantage is bold. However, by the end of the film, this theme pretty much falls through.

So how do you feel about Tarantino wanting to remake this? I wish he'd make his own movie, but if anyone could remake this, it would probably be him. Or maybe John Waters. If either of you remake it, PLEASE CHANGE THE ENDING.

Enough with the fucking remakes already. I don't care if it is Quentin. I assume with Britney's drama, he's gonna make some changes with that. Why does he want them to star in this? hmmm Weird. I know the acting wasn't the world's greatest in the original, but did Quentin actually see Crossroads? Britney & Kim's acting would be atrocious.

Quentin is a serious nut job, but i do respect his choices of remakes. At one time he wanted to do a remake of the cult classic TV show and movie DARK SHADOWS and he also wanted to do a "real" version of Starsky and Hutch, not like that comedy shit movie they did. But as for his cast choices, I would dump spears and mendes. I would want Kim Kardashian, Latin model Vida Guerra and Sophia Bush as the cast.

NO NO NO!!!! mad

the original version is perfection. the only way a remake would have any worth at all is if it were cast with drag queens, and even then it would be stupid.

I agree with Anx.
Remakes of movies that are perfect the way that they are is never a good thing.
I'd rather that Quent focused on that WWII idea he spoke about on Charlie Rose.

No Blondes in this one? I can't think of any actresses out there who would fit the mold of the ladies from the original.

there are no young actresses out there with a dangerous enough image to fill those stiletto boots. the image for young actresses these days is to be all willowy and come-hither and all that nonsense. there are no actresses out there right now who people are just a little bit scared of. this idea will fail miserably. though now i wanna watch the original!

Well Quentin tends to pick women you would never think of, Vida Guerra would be a total unknown that could surprise plus she has the body, and tarrantino like Robert Rodriguez always tries to get a latina in the show, Kim Kardashian to me is an obvious choice because this girl is the hottest thing around, and a film like this would be for her, and i think Sophia would be the one that everyone would say "oh i know her" and go see it.

As much as I like Tarantino's recent stuff, I think he needs to get back to creating something a little more original. It's all just been homages and tributes lately. On the other hand, if he doesn't have it in him to go back to the drawing board for something completely original, then this stuff will do nicely. Not sure about a FPKK remake, though. Seems unnecessary and a little too obvious.

As someone who does films myself and writing and working with actors on the independant front, Tarantino is NOT very well respected anymore the way he was. He has lost alot of his appeal from his very very early days, Robert Rodrgiuez is someone who came up with him but suffers from the same issues. The are filmmakers and writers that grew up in times that had great films adntv shows so thats been influencing there creations most of their film making days.

HELL NO! That's all I can say. I think FPKK should remain where it is and as it is. Why remake something that doesn't need remaking? This along with Robert Rodrigez's Barbarella remake. Absolutely NO NEED! Especially with the casting choices that they are thinking of.

Both directors work better with original material.

I am having a hard time thinking who would even be formidable to handle a role like that. It'd have to be a bad ass unknown.

I struggle to think what movie he's made that isn't an homage or genre piece.

For real. I hadn't heard about that one. I'd like to see an entire year of major movie releases without a single remake. The way things are going, I don't think that's possible.

I doub't very much he would remake this movie. I thought Death Proof had a lot of the spirit of faster pussycat kill kill in it, it would be repeating himself. It doesn't need remaking Seriously how could you improve it as Quentin is never EVER going to get someone to replace Tura Satana it's impossible.

Also the reason the whole Grindhouse thing failed is because the movies that influenced it were pure renegade filmaking. Those directors back in the day had literally days to shoot movies and on zero budgets. Those Grindhouse movies came across as self indulgent. They completely lacked the energy and spirit of all those classic early 70's movies.

Quentin needs to get his head out of his ass and come up with something original.

I think this cat is a stone genius. His knack for doing what he does is not easy. Sure, people knock him for re-treading certain genres. But he does it in a way that it looks and FEELS authentic when all the while u know it isn't. And his choices for music on the soundtracks are brilliant. His references are always dead on. I love Faster Pussycat to death. I'm a huge Russ Meyer fan. I don't like remakes of any kind. BUT, if anyone could pull remaking this filn off, it would DEFINATELY be Taratino. I understand him picking Britney and everyone else. I actually can see Britney in one of the roles to be honest. The film is campy and so is Britney. Them rolling around in the water and then the dirt would sell tickets through the roof anyways. I would go see this shit.
