Is it just me, or has this year been really terrible so far?

My friend's grandmother is dying...but very very slowly. Another friend got into a bad car accident and has severe head trauma, he just woke up after 7 days in the ICU and now has pneumonia. My boss was just diagnosed with diabetes, a friend's brother walked over a board at a construction site, fell through and died last night and now my friend just texted me that she was hit by a SUV this morning and is in the hospital.

Enough already!!!!


Hmm, just found out our student who works for us contracted Malaria while he was in Haiti.

I am sorry that your year doesn't seem to be getting off to the best of starts.

So far 2008 has been status quo...the wife and I are on the edge of yet another and probably final seperation, I have worked all but 4 days this year and now I am headed to Cleveland for a three week course...

I am gonna have to agree this year sucks...whih is to say it is just a continuation of a horrible 2007.... for those who hate on me...hope you are happy...

i was ran off the road a couple of days ago, and a friend of mine was taking a short cut and the ground gave way.

he fell 6/8 foot into an underground tunnel, it was so deep his phone wouldnt work, it took him 45 minutes to find his way out, but thats not tragic, its fucking funny...

I am intrigued by 2008 so far, nothing bad has happened (touch wood), and somehow everything seems to be falling into place! Well this doesn't really happen to me often, so I'm pretty suspicious! I ought not to argue with it, and just settle down and be thankful for the drama-free life I asked for

There's what is within your control and then there's that what you just can't change. Thruth is, there's no sense in trying to reason about things that you can't control. There's valuable lessons to be learned from every painful moment.

2008 has been crazy so far, I knew deep down that it will be the year of changes.
So many things happened recently, it is completely crazy it could mean leaving the UK after living there for 11 years and going back to my country so it is a major change. I like stability with a twist of spontaneity, so when all these changes happened, I freaked out but I know that things have to change in life and it is often for the best

my 2008 has been just fine so far. i think this is the first year in a while where i get to decide if it's going to be a good year or a bad year, and make sure it goes the way i choose.
