I can see where people won't agree with a lot he might say ( Christian and stuff) but who agrees with everything one says anyway? To really listen to him is amazing. He has so much to say and on such a vast array of subjects.

I had the privilege of attending a lecture he gave in Philly, many years ago. For about an hour, Mr. West deconstructed everything from social injustice and the economy to failed domestic policy to his faith in Jesus ...

I was just standing there (because it was standing room only) like omg

I appreciate both him and Henry Louis Gates very, very much.

It was incredible. It was an odd moment, because you're trying your best to keep up with him and process what he's saying while thinking -- "Dang... why isn't he president?"

lol

You might be even more jealous to learn that a very pretty reporter friend of mine got to dance with him...

Gotta watch those geeky, soul-brotha, Christian braniacs...

When I didn't know who he was I saw just a small segment of him talking and I had to hear more of him after that. I was hooked. A very brilliant man. One thing I like about him is that he can talk in an articulate way without being stuffy. Thats a big thing with me.

I was able to hear him speak a few years ago and do my best to listen and read most things he writes.

I can appreciate that he's remained a Christian. You find some who move away from Christianity as they feel they've become "enlightened".
