Let's see.
Friday; drinks after work with Ria and Jeffrey. Did a smallish pub tour of De Jordaan. Smallish hip pubs. Got smashingly drunk. Saturday; woke up cuz of the phone. My sister. Then I woke up, slowly, cuz of a slight hangover. Showered. Went out to meet Joanne for coffee. Chatted about life in general, you know how it goes; watch a Sex And The City episode. That is me and Joanne. Joanne is Carrie and I am Sam, if you need to know. Then we biked to some hangars where they have a few second hand furniture outlets. Lotta crap, but a few beautiful cupboards. But I am broke, so I could just stare. The hangars were unheatred, so Joanne needed more coffee after that. When I got home I saw the light. For months now my house has been a mess. Stuff came in between me and keeping the place tidy and things just piled up. I tried over the months to make a start by throwing stuff away, but I stalled every time. Thing is; to make one room tidy, I had to clean and clear out two other rooms in my house, so when I started the last few times I managed only to make more mess. But yesterday I started in one room, got that done and moved on to the second. After that it was easy; a few bin bags full of STUFF off to the trash and the litter I moved into room one. then the excess furniture could be moved to room two and now room one, the living room is as minimalistic as it can get, to my standards. Then I was off to the pub again. Met up with a buddy and we were at it until midnight. Got home drunk and totally wanted to crash, but I always zap a little and I fell in the middle of a documentary on the Factory, so of course I was immediately sidetracked. After that I really crashed. Today; I woke up early. Bit hungover-ish. Cleaned out the last litter outa the livingroom. My cats are cranky cuz I changed all the rooms. I chatted for a while with Mariëlle and then I knocked over a liter of coffee, splattering two white chairs. The covers are now in the washing machine. Now having lunch. Eating yummie borwn bread with butter and cheese. |

I am buying my first apartment, so just a nice little one bedroom affair somewhere in the centre of Edinburgh. Saw some nice ones today But I just need to wait a week or so for confirmation of finaces to come through before I make any moves. Very exciting!  Rock n roll baby | |
