It was a collect call and I didn't recognize the name.

It scared the bejibbers outta me because it was so late at night and I've never gotten a call from a correctional facility before.


Just wanted to share. I should probably turn off my phone and go to bed.

we've received a few collect calls from the local jail here....I accepted the charges one time and had about a 15 minute conversation with a dude before he realized he had no clue who he was talking to...with phone calls at a premium, you'd think they'd carefully dial the number

I think it's something where they run up long distance charges on your number. If they try to do that with my phone, the jokes on them because it's a pay as you go cell with very little money on it. So far, no unknown calls/charges have showed up on my phone.
