What Are You Afraid Of?

I'm scared of...supernatural things or odd things. Like I clicked on the "post something creepy" thread and couldn't make it past the first picture. I clicked out of the whole org and couldn't come back for a few minutes lol

Horror movies and monsters scare the bejeezus out of me. Any horror movie, even a b-grade one, can have me sleepless for months.

When my friends borrowed the Exorcist, I didn't watch just stared at the roof while they watched. But even LISTENING scared me!

I clearly have some kind of phobia of scary movies right? I like thrillers like Silence of the Lambs but horror no no no!

What's your crippling phobia?

Ooh yes, at my local shopping centre, to get to the ground floor the elevator has to do right down underground so for a minute there all you can see around you is black, it's shit scary.

I got in once with some Asian tourists and they thought you had to press the stop button when you get to your floor. So they missed their floor and started pressing it, the elevator did this HUGE shudder then just stopped dead. It kept going a few seconds later but damn!

Anxiety

i'm more afraid of illness than i am of death. i know that nobody especially "enjoys" hospitals, but i really hate being in them and i have a hard time seeing people who are seriously ill or injured. i don't know if this qualifies more as "fear" or "aversion", or if there's even a difference between the two...i'm not afraid that being around sick people will make me sick - it's just a really horrible energy that i get. helplessness? death is upsetting to me, but at least it's a kind of release from suffering. i can at least rationalize that. but illness, no way. disbelief

I had a mouth full of stitches. They'll give you the right pills for it though and make sure you keep an ice pack on your chin area as much as possible, whereever you're swollen.

I'm not sure what TMJ is but my doc told me about the joint thing too but he said it was very rare....like literally one in a million rare...

lol that would be pretty full on, although them charging at you with their talons about to scratch the shit outta your face would be worse! But i reckon birds are just like dogs, dont show them fear and you should be ok.

Heights are the worst for me! But i seem to be getting ok with it now, whenever im in a huge hotel with a balcony i make sure i go out and have a good nice long look over the edge....then my mind gets thinking too much and i got back inside lol

I used to be afraid of something happening to my kids.
I'm not a big worrier but that's the only thing that has ever made me feel afraid.

Ya know, you don't have to have IV sedation to have oral surgery but the "laughing gas" really will help you to feel less anxiety. It's kinda like having a couple of glasses of wine. Takes the edge off.

It's funny, there's really only one thing I'm afraid of and nothing else. Not so long ago, I was afraid of everything, except that one thing.

Claustrophobia ain't nooooo joke. I have a cousin who's claustro. We literally found out when we were playing outside as kids. We were hiding from one of our friends outdoors and we turned over an old claw foot tub and stuck him under it. Long after the game was over and we were all hanging out a block away from where we were playing, we realized that he wasn't with us. We started calling him and no answer. Finally, we went back to the tub and told him to come out... and nothing. We turned it over and he was lying in that same fetal position, sweating buckets and literally shaking. He couldn't even speak.

That's how he found out he was claustrophobic. That was some scary stuff to see.
