I'm claustrophobic too. I used to really hate being in crowds and that still bothers me at times. I hate driving on highways and try to stay off them as much sa possible. I never liked escalators either shrug

I used to have panic attacks all the time to the point that it was hard to do anything normal but haven't had one in a looong time. Just riding in a car in heavy traffic - think Toronto rush hour - was almost impossible.

claustrophobic, just thinking about being in small spaces freaks me out to the point where I have to go outside sometimes.

Claustrophobia ain't nooooo joke. I have a cousin who's claustro. We literally found out when we were playing outside as kids. We were hiding from one of our friends outdoors and we turned over an old claw foot tub and stuck him under it. Long after the game was over and we were all hanging out a block away from where we were playing, we realized that he wasn't with us. We started calling him and no answer. Finally, we went back to the tub and told him to come out... and nothing. We turned it over and he was lying in that same fetal position, sweating buckets and literally shaking. He couldn't even speak.

That's how he found out he was claustrophobic. That was some scary stuff to see.

oh, it's no joke. it wasn't bad when I was little but the older I get the worse it's getting. as a matter of fact the last plane trip I took was a true test for me becasue the hotwheel they tried to pass off as a plane was so enclosed my heart was racing from panic. I had to make myself go to sleep to get through the plane ride and this lady talked to me the whole time on my trip back.

Wide-open spaces, confined spaces, airplanes, trains, the subway, being buried alive, death, the night, tunnels, bridges, heights, the highway, crowds, balloons being popped, birds flying around indoors, what Joe Rogan describes thusly:

Nobody wants to ever address the craziest thing about us, which is we’re on a rock flying through space! That’s the nuttiest thing that never comes up! You know how CRAZY space is???!!! You just totally take for granted that “forever” is above your head every day of the week...And it goes on FOREVER!!! Do you know what “forever” means? It means this WHOLE universe of hundreds of billions of galaxies, each with hundreds of billions of stars, might just be a part of one atom that’s in a cell of the balls of one guy who lives in another universe! And it goes on and on and on and on and on and there’s no end EVER!!!

I don't mind how deep it is if I am swimming around on the surface. Put goggles on me and make me look down, and I freak out, even if I CAN see the bottom, 4 metres and it's too much boxed

I'm claustrophobic due to my brothers tactic to stop me from being afraid of the dark. Oneday he tackled me and forced my head UNDER the sofa. I was no longer afraid of the dark but now tight places can get me anxious and exciteable.

I am also afraid of anything huge or towering. My first time standing next to an aircraft carrier scared the hell out of me! I almost could not board it! I guess that may be attributed to my extraordinary height and me being used to towering over the crowds. When the tables are turned it freaks me out.

I had a claustrophobic episode in a car once. Cars don't bother me but if I am not moving and I begin to get antsy and think about where I actually am it will get to me. We were stuck in traffic inside a TUNNEL of all places...so I put my head back and there was the ceiling of the car right at my eyes! I panicked...then I looked out of the window and there was the roof of the damn tunnel....I started to breathe hard and break out into a sweat! Luckily I could get out of the car until traffic began moving again.
