Erin's right.. the crown grows rounded, can't see the needles on the branches, but they look dense, so my first guess would be Scotch Pine (coomon name forpinus sylvestris ) the needles are longer about 2-4" If the needles are shorter the it could be a close cousin to the North American Pingon (pinus edulis ) the needles are quite dense but are only 1-1.5" long. That tree looks to be quite old, it might be an entirely different type of species since this tree looks to be in the Mediterranean. Damn, I'm such a nerd at times   | |
