So, we where having a discussion at work....

One of my co-workers thinks a man should tell his significant other everyday that he loves her and that she is beautiful, and or thinking of her. She says she needs that re-assurance everyday.

I think saying I love you everyday is fine. To me, if I was to hear the same line, ie, i love u, your beautiful, etc, etc,,,,...will become boring and eventually the meaning will be lost.

Another female co- worker said, she doesnt have enough time in the day for that crap, once in a while is fine. As long as things are good,and you are happy, thats what matters.

A male co -workers said.... think of it like a once a year review, show that you love all year, then on an special day, say all the corny shit you need to.

I kinda agree with him.....
show it more than you say it....what do you think????

Saying it everyday has no meaning if your actions say otherwise. Actions speak LOUDER than words.

Say it,show it,live it....day by day. Back up the words with the way you live and demonstration of feeling.....
We are all fragile and sometimes our own failings mean it is nice to hear it but it is always nice to be shown it

My husband is that type, he can say it all day long..I love you, you are so pretty, plus some kinky stuff thrown in for good measure. I on the other hand, dish it out but not on his level, and he sometimes feels slighted. One important fact is, we have been married for 24 years, he has become more like this over the past 10 years, he was not as gushy in the beginning.

Of course evey couple is different and different in their needs from day to day month to month yr to yr

If my partner was verbally mushy everyday I would be like WTH ?

He likes to make me feel loved, of course he also does it in actions. It would be nice to hear he thinks I am beautiful more often (if he does, that is), he only says it if I dress up to go out and that makes me feel weird, almost like he has to say it cause he knows I went to a lot of effort, not cause I really am. He tells me he loves me every now and then, which is probably enough. I would not react too well if it was recited by rote each day as part of a greeting, without thinking.

A mix between the two works for me. I don't grovel like a dog all the time but I definitly know when to tell her she looks good.

so your supposed to say it everyday? I think that a bit much. why is a schedule to this? every once in awhile ok and not even necessary, for me knowing is good enough. if you keep hearing it everyday it could seem insincere. it doesn't hurt to hear it but showing is much better
