Do you know I had to go to the Eagle in Toronto? I was with my friend who has been to the Eagle in every town he's traveled to that has one. So I had to go in with him. He only made us stay for one drink, but there are certain gay bars women simply don't belong in. Eagles are it. lol. |

I was gonna say no on the leather too, but then I thought, "well, what if he's really hot and an artist or something?". Still, he'd have to be really hot and it'd have to be a certain type of fit and black leather only. I actually have lowrise, bootcut leather pants that I used to wear in the mid 90s when I was really skinny. They were hot. When trying them on I asked these two old broads if they liked them and they both looked mortified. I knew then that they were prefect so I bought them. I have no idea where they are now. The pants, that is...not the old broads.

I'm trying to be open-minded. But I'm not sure how open-minded I can be. I feel like I'm interviewing men for the position of being my boyfriend. It's a little surreal. I suggest that you warn him that if he shows up in them you will walk away.

I think I should weigh in, for I also own both leather and vinyl pants. But they are relics from my bygone club days. I'll sometimes break them out for concerts if the act is appropriate, but generally speaking, they stay in the closet - though I'm still famous for my shirts and funky blazers and jackets.
And I actually have a pic on my Myspace page of me dressed in vinyl pants and a Hendrix-like purple shirt, which I wore last year when I opened the Best of Toledo party with a karaoke performance of "Let's Go Crazy." Carrie, you'll know on Friday if the chemistry is there. If he wears the pants OUTSIDE of a goth club or Bauhaus concert, then you should worry.
