I get it, for me.

The scmultz of roses, hearts and valentine's day has nothing to do with romance and in some respects is the exact antitheis of it. I am finding it increasingly difficuklt to be romantic on V day. This year my idea of romance is to do it one day earlier.

Romance is spontanious, unexpected, and expression of love that only you know how. What is romantic for one is often dumb for another.

To be honest, I think romance is dead! I am about tired of looking for love, or having love. At this moment it's not worth it, and nothing but a head ache! mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad Or I am just a very bitter, heartbroken person right now, having to deal with a DICKHEAD! lol

Okay I am calm now! giggle

hug hug

I'm tired of looking for it and it not choosing me also, I can say I'm not bitter anymore but I am broken hearted and no longer have any faith or belief in it anymore. But I know you Missy will be okay, love and romance will find you again. hug

I can't say I'm an old fashioned romantic, but I pay attention to what they enjoy and try to surprise them with the little things because you ladies LOVE the little things.

I've bought concert tix to her favorite artists for her and her girl to go see while I chilled. I've sent flowers to work. I put together nice gifts more than just one, but a few that reflect their personalities. If we are out shopping and they take interest to a particular item, I will make a mental note and go back and get it later and surprise them with it.....

If that is romantic....then I guess I am....I just call it paying attention to their needs.

Romance=playing with chemical release and addiction to pleasure in the brain resulting from the biological imperative to mate and secure offspring.

Little things do count.
Sadly I haven't been a recipient in a while.
I used to give, give, give stopped when I didn't feel it was appreciated.
