moderatorMy last name is hyphenated. It's not a big deal in more *ahem* metropolitan places but in the city where I grew up and the city I live in now, people have a frickin heart attack over the fact that there are two last names instead of one.
And it's not even like they're two difficult last names like Schermerhorn-Greensteinblattphrenoki...they're two very short names and one is common!  People's mental limitations when it comes to last names never cease to amaze me.
So, in closing...my last names are not fucked up but the people who freak out over them are.   | |
