So How's Sean Penn's Adaptation of This Wonderful Book?

really glad to hear that. i got a Q though regarding Chris's character in the film, did they make him so grumpy? coz i couldn't tell from the trailer.

p.s. i strongly advise reading the book nod

Nope, not grumpy in the movie...he's pretty endearing, actually, although he does have his moments. Emil Hirsch does a great job in the role as well nod...

Amazing movie and work, not only is Penn on the best at acting, he is one of the best directors too. The film was perfect, Penn did all the right things with his methods of directing and the film is shot amazing. No bullshit hollywood sets, Sean had emile suffering in the real elements (how else can you know the experience?), and the cool thing to about Sean is the fact that he would do things first to show emile. Like once scene in the "rapids" where emile really didnt know how to, and was worried since it was the real deal, Sean said i'll do it first, and he did.
