Who or what inspired your parents to call you what your name is? I was named after my Grandad (Dad's Dad).

My sister was the reason my parents had another child as she desperately wanted a baby brother. She wanted him to be named Martin and as I turned out to be a girl I was named Martina. My parents' choice would have been Andrea, so that's my second name and my aunt's choice was Maria, that's my 3rd name.

No one.. my parents could not agree on a name. My dad wanted Diane or Debbie and my mom had some Native American Indian name picked out.

Then somehow they, not sure which one came up with Valerie, then they could not agree on the spelling.

My Middle name was after my Grandfather. "Arnold" i used to be shamed of my middle name but i am so proud of it because My grandfather and Uncle who has the same name. were great men and an inspiration to me.

my Uncle Paul who moved to Australia my twin was named after my Uncle James from my dads side who also moved to Australia.

(My mom wanted to name me Lisa Marie, my dad insisted on Carrie Ann. My mom was the Elvis fan, my dad was the Hollies fan.)

According to my mom, she just liked the name Julie and had planned to name my oldest brother that if he were a girl.
