Stress

Being a college student, stress comes hand in hand with what I do here. Sure I may be under pressure and I have certain expectations, but you'd think I'd get used to it by now.

Coming back still comes with stress over pretty much nothing. But I'm a worrier, either it's me coming in or going out.
Those who've talked to me while studying for finals would know what I'm talking about here.

I'm surprised that I haven't ulcered over any of this.
But it could be a problem for me when I'm older confused

For the record, I still don't know what I'm gonna do with my life, but I rarely worry about that. The present is what worries me, lol.

Have you got a personal tutor you can speak to? If you're stressed perhaps they can help you to relax and thus improve your work.

I never had stress in college. I was too busy having fun.

Now that there is a mortgage due on the first, car payments on the 10th and 17th, and everything else that comes with life, I experience some stress.

haha, music pretty much is the best therapy there is.

And also just working through it, studying, whatever else.

I had a lot going on my mind this morning.

Incense, great suggestion, but I don't think they'd allow that in our dorms. Besides, I wouldn't want to be responsible for setting off the fire alarm falloff

Of course, I hear that school is simple compared to life and it basically is. Just in the beginning and towards the end, I get like this.

Thanx to those who replied to my "nonesense thread"

I had a friend who gave herself an ulcer from stressing out over school.

She did real well academically, so I guess it didn't bother her too much but, imo, I don't think it's worth it.

I worry a ton but there's a point where you have to put a cap on it and realize that there's only so much in life you can control so you may as well relax about the rest.

It is really hard to know for sure what you want to be when you grow up, my son for instance studied for two years as an electrical engineer before changing majors to journalism. He is now a very sucessfull journalist.

I got so stressed during college & grad school that by the time I was done I'd actually LOOK for things to stress over eek I was just so used to that level of anxiety disbelief It's not worth it, really. You'll find a balance @ some point (hopefully) comfort

Anxiety

everything that i stressed out about in the past seemed so life-and-death and when i look back on it, it seems silly that i didn't just assume i'd get through it smelling like a rose and that i made it as big of a problem as i did.

of course, that doesn't stop me from continuing to get stressed out about things.

like, all the time. lol

sorry you're stressed! i recommend tea! it can be your best friend. if you're close to a chinatown (philly/nyc) they have some great and unusual tea. otherwise camomile or mint tea is the way to go. hope you're feeling better.
