This will make a lot of you happy....

The quarterback, who has played in 126 straight games despite being a staple of the injury ledger because of his right shoulder, was photographed in New York City yesterday with what appeared to be a walking boot on his right foot.

The gossip website TMZ.com posted a 1-minute-18-second video clip featuring Brady and his supermodel girlfriend Gisele Bundchen in New York. On the video, a hooded Brady, who is seen carrying a duffel bag and flowers, is noticeably favoring his right foot.

Last night, Patriots spokesman Stacey James said the team had no comment on the picture of Brady. The team is off until Thursday and the next injury report isn't due until Wednesday of next week.

Brady appeared to be limping Sunday as he left his news conference following the Patriots' 21-12 victory over the San Diego Chargers in the AFC Championship game.

Yesterday, Brady did not directly answer a question about being hurt during his regular appearance on WEEI's "Dennis and Callahan" show. When he was asked about having his leg looked at on the sideline early in the fourth quarter, he replied:

"There are always kind of bumps and bruises. I'll be ready for the Super Bowl. I'm not missing this one. I'd have to be on a stretcher to miss this one. There will just be some treatment this week and, like I said, games like this you get a little nicked up, but it's nothing serious."

Brady was sacked twice Sunday and appeared to be slightly hobbled after Igor Olshansky and Stephen Cooper tackled him for an 8-yard loss on the final drive of the game.

An injury might explain Brady's subpar - by his MVP standards - performance against the Chargers. He was 22 of 32 for 209 yards and two touchdowns, but was intercepted three times, including once in the end zone by Antonio Cromartie late in the third quarter, Brady's first red zone pick in two seasons.

However, it should be noted that a presumably healthy Brady threw three interceptions against the Chargers in the postseason last year as well.

Brady seemed subdued and frustrated after Sunday's game.

Just the week before, in a 31-20 playoff victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars at Gillette Stadium, Brady had been pinpoint accurate, completing his first 16 passes and setting an NFL record for highest completion percentage in a game by going 26 of 28 (92.9 percent) for 262 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions.

During the regular season, Brady threw an NFL-record 50 touchdown passes and just eight interceptions, authoring another mark with a plus-42 TD/interception differential.

The 18-0 Patriots will try to complete a perfect 19-0 season by defeating the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII Feb. 3. If Brady were unable to play, the Patriots backups are third-year player Matt Cassel, who in six games this season has completed 4 of 7 passes for 38 yards and an interception that was returned for a touchdown, and undrafted rookie Matt Gutierrez.

Honestly, I'm not worried about it. You could tell something was wrong in the last game but our defense stepped it up and Maroney has been phenomenal. We got two weeks and I'm sure lots of drugs will be injected into Brady's foot.

It'll be a tough game, but it's the Superbowl...it's not supposed to be easy!

Did you watch the clip on tmz.com? None of them looked happy at all...

That's why they get paid millions of dollars!! Shoot it up, take some Advil. I'm not that disappointed about the Chargers loss, because they fought back pretty admirably most of the way. You're lucky LT wasn't playing. razz

Chargers couldn't even score ONE touch down. We kept them to field goals even when they were first and goal. I guess we can thank Indy for beating them up a week prior, didn't take too much out of us smile

I don't know about his foot, but it sounds like he's lost his mind.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Has Tom Brady given the boot to the boot?

Hours after being photographed with a walking boot on his right foot as he followed girlfriend Gisele Bundchen into her New York apartment on Monday, other pictures showed the New England Patriots quarterback wearing black shoes -- and no boot -- when he showed up at a New York hotspot.

The website PageSix.com had two photos -- credited to INFDaily.com -- that showed Brady wearing blue jeans and a black sweater with the black shoes and no boot. In one photo, he was followed by Bundchen as they arrived at the club Butter in New York, the website said.

Earlier Monday, several websites had photos -- credited to infphoto.com -- that showed Brady wearing a walking boot on his right foot. A video of Brady walking with a slight limp from an SUV to Bundchen's home is also available on TMZ.com.

Brady, this season's NFL MVP, and the Patriots are headed to the Feb. 3 Super Bowl against the New York Giants.

The chief of the foot and ankle division at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston said Brady doesn't appear to be seriously injured.

Dr. Chris Chiodo, who is not treating Brady, said he has used a boot to treat several ailments, including a sprain, a strain, a bone bruise, tendinitis or overuse of the foot. He said he strongly doubted Brady had a displaced fracture.

"I don't think he'd be walking on it if that were the case," Chiodo, an orthopedic surgeon told the Associated Press in a telephone interview.

Patriots spokesman Stacey James said the team had no comment. Brady's agent, Donald Yee, did not return a phone call or e-mail seeking comment.

Brady did not appear to be limping during Sunday's game before he was sacked by Igor Olshansky and Stephen Cooper with just over eight minutes to go. He had thrown three interceptions before that. After the sack, he completed all four of his passes.

Brady has been extremely durable in his NFL career. He started his 126th consecutive game Sunday when the Patriots beat San Diego 21-12 in the AFC championship. In that game, the Chargers' Philip Rivers took all his team's snaps and threw for 211 yards despite arthroscopic surgery on his right knee six days earlier.

The Patriots backup quarterbacks are Matt Cassel and Matt Gutierrez. Cassel has thrown 39 passes in his three NFL seasons, all with New England. Gutierrez, a rookie, completed the only pass he threw this season.

Coach Bill Belichick was not available for comment Tuesday. He was not asked about Brady's physical condition during his news conference Monday. Players were given three days off after Sunday's game and were not available.

During his weekly radio appearance on WEEI on Monday, Brady was asked if his leg was injured.

"Ah, you know, there's always bumps and bruises. I'll be ready for the Super Bowl," he said before the photos and video emerged. "I'm not worried about that. I'm not missing this one. I'd have to be on a stretcher to miss this one. There will be treatment this week. In games like this, you get a little nicked up. It's nothing serious."

I read; he and his bitch were in a fight. She kicked him and his duffelback out, but when he was at the door, she slammed it on his foot.

Then he went to buy her flowers. But she said 'no thanks, I found your gay porn stash'

cool

I am hoping the Patriots win. I am a Bears fan, but I would rather see a team complete a perfect season than the upset. Plus, I hate the 72 Dolphins and the 85 Dolphins.
