I have never understood why people do this.....Maybe its because I don't drive...although hubby does drive and we have two cars....and dosent seem to matter what gender someone is, Ive met men and women that name their cars.

yes. He also has his own key so he can get in the house if I'm out.

Yes, my Audi is called David Lloyd George after the Liberal Prime Minister.

My "Luv Machine" is a she.
I often refer to "her" as "Bitch" or "Good Girl"...depending on how it's acting.

Someone else named my car for me. It's a 2000 Plymouth Neon that's an orange/red color. The dealership called the color "salsa". When I first got the car, my trainer started referring to it as "Salsa". The name just stuck. Whenever my car is acting like an asshole, I say "come on, girl" so I guess I think of it as a girl.

Nope. Never been inclined to name a car, though I talk to them often.
