Do what I do: get yourself a Slingbox, sling left (or right) and surf the Net at the same time! woot!

I can't even sit through a 3 minute youtube clip boxed it's the whole "just watching" thing.

I disconnected my cable yet those 3 still came in. Oh and CTV News channel, so I guess that's 4. I don't know why, and I don't ask.

That's what I'm sayin'! I don't "just (watch)"! I have my cable feed in the corner of my laptop screen and while I'm watching, I'm usually also answering email, Orging, Photoshopping, posting on bulletin boards about the show I'm watching, etc., etc. Occasionally I'll do nothing but watch the programme, but more often than not, I'm multitasking.

I love complete silence (in fact, with the exception of the sound of my fingers tapping on the keyboard, I'm enjoying it right now! cloud9)! But I will sacrifice it for certain reality shows or yuks (e.g. The Sarah Silverman Program).

Here's what I do--turn on a radio; it drowns out the slingbox while I photoshop, email, post, and masturbate!

If I had a house full of children I'd love complete silence too. But my apartment is devoid of all life (I don't even have any plants) so as soon as I'm home I turn on the news or sports for background noise.

TV on DVD is definitely helping me pass the time. I have the entire Buffy and Angel series to rewatch.

I never watched Buffy when it was on TV!

I'm almost done with season 2.

I've also rewatched Lost all three seasons and Dexter season 1

House season 1

My name is Earl season 1

Harsh Realm

I have Supernatural season 1 waiting and I want to buy Buffy Season 3 and American Gothic when I get my paycheck next week. redface

At what point in the Buffy time line did Angel start to air? I'll get that too when I reach the appropriate time. boxed

I totally do that at home. There's a small TV right next to the computer in my bedroom. But I can't watch a real program while online. It has to be a game or better yet, one of those Music Choice channels that just plays music.

I'm about halfway through season 2 of Buffy and it has taken me a long time to get that far--too much sports. I also waste a lot of time watching Howard Stern on demand.
