Should brushing your teeth be the first thing you do when you wake up? brushteeth

Then it won't have to be done in the shower?? hmmm

It's the second thing I do. I can't run water 'til I've peed or there'll be a mess in the bathroom. lol

I do. It's funny cuz it all started out with me being late getting ready for something, and I did it to save time. So I brushed me teeth while I was in the shower. Now I do it all the time.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

It isn't just the butt. Bacteria grows all over you. In your hair...under your arms...behind your ears - everywhere. Why anyone would keep their toothbrush someplace where all that's spraying around is beyond me.

But y'all go ahead. lol

Did you know that when you flush, water from the toilet sprays everywhere? so basically your brush gets sprayed with water that you just pooped in.

Contaminating it? confuse

I have a spot for mine in the shower.

Of course, I live alone, so no one else could possibly touch my toothbrush.

And you think bacteria doesn't grow on it in that moist environment?

Sorry, but I would never keep my toothbrush in the same place where I wash my ass.

I keep my toothbrush covered, and I thought the "shit particles" only float if you keep the toilet lid up a lot.....or flush with the lid up. Whenever I take a shit, I always flush as soon as it hits the water....actually before it hits....syncing it perfectly. What do they call it? The ninja turd? Or phantom turd? I remember hearing someone refer to it as one of those names.

I used to when I was living in a college dorm. It was just easier to do everything in the shower stall than to have to cart a bunch of stuff all over the communal bathroom or keep going back to my room to get a couple things at a time.

i use too many rinses and dental doodad-ery in my daily routine to make brushing in the shower a convenient option.

Actually, it fits well into my routine and doesn't waste as much as you'd think. I'm brushing while I'm rinsing soap off the rest of me. I multi-task in the shower.

Because it's uncomfortable?? smile I'm not saying don't use warm water for anything lol It's just always been my understanding that cold has less (not NONE, just LESS) bacteria. & when it's going in your mouth you might want less...

I personally do a combo & brush with lukewarm. shrug There's no winning, bacteria is everywhere bananadance

Here in Oakland the water company tells us not to cook with the hot water or drink it.

I think it has more dissolved chemicals in it. I wouldn't be surprised if that included bacteria, but either way, warm water has more impurities. nod

That's a better way to put it - more impurities, not necessarily bacteria. Thanks for the clarification biggrin & I better get back w/ the cold water for brushing, huh? falloff

I should turn into a diva bitch & brush w/ bottled water hmmm
