THESE JUMPY LITTLE FUCKERS HAVE INFILTRATED OUR DORM HOUSE!!!! and i'm PISSED! i'm laying in bed, after waking up from probably the most fucked up scary ass dream (flipping through the dream book now), so i'm kind of shaken... and BAM! out of fucking NOWHERE, a cricket jumps and lands on a stack of photos like it made a loud THUD. i nearly shit a brick i was so fucking freaked. so i slammed an art mag on it -the photos were not harmed, despite ooze. I don't care! I have plants! they are NOT FOOD for these creepers! AAAUGH!!! [...i think i can, i think i can, i think i can...]

CRICKET
Intuition and Belief The appearance of Cricket is your life heralds an awakening of sensitivities and finding light within the dark. Dreams become more clairvoyant. Trust in your intuition – it is more accurate than you believe. Make sure to stay grounded and balanced while exploring your intuition and psychic abilities. The appearance of Cricket might also be a reminder than you are using psychic powers without proper grounding. In China, the Cricket symbolizes a fighting spirit. In England, it is considered good luck to find a cricket on the hearth. Crickets were believed to be familiars who watched over and guarded the home's occupants.

WTF is a cricket doing around at this time of year?
I thought they were green? Or am I thinking of grasshoppers? Anyway, I'm afraid I would have killed it too.

THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING! i should also mention that this is the SECOND one i've been confronted with in the past week or so but i figure - my house is right infront of a quarry/nature trail - my house is warm refuge from the cold quarry/nature trail - and i have plants im still freaked, hours later. Yeah, I suppose that's enough to bring them in. Freaky nature madness I would also be feeling a bit freaked out, I hate bugs. In the autumn, when the spiders come in I am so thankful that our cat eats them in the night (she just leaves the legs ) because I CANNOT deal with that.

I've decided that crickets (including Locusts, grasshoppers and the like) are just HOPPING ROACHES!!!!!
I know that they can do no harm to me but I can't stand them. I will creep out if there's one anywhere near me. MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! Even if you feel powerless, go and buy repellent products, you will feel more in control. Avoid leaving any food around or trash (unless it is only paper). Don't worry "Girly Man Man Man..... You think these are bad...honey stay OUT of Orlando, Florida. Those suckers are KFC biscuit size. I saw one trying to crawl under the bathroom door while I was in the tub. I just kinda sat there and prayed he'd turn around. The fucker was loud as hell when he started to sing.
The ones that frequent Chicago are just horribly irritating. They love to hide in our nice, quiet basement. When they hear you coming, the stop. When you walk away, they start again. I get them to stop by hollering "SHADDUP!!" at the top of my lungs. Of course then, my boyfriend usually is like "Roni...yelling at the bugs doesn't do anything baby..chill." (It does, I swear.) But if all else fails, use that spray, throw some shoes. Or get a dorm frog...lol. It's gon' be ok. Maybe he wants to be your next art subject?
