I think its writing is extremely lazy. They will do a bit that is funny for like 15 seconds but draw it out to sometimes almost a minute, with no pay off.
Seems like its more bout eating away the time. Also they also throw in huge amounts of song and dance routines that seem just to be put into the show that has nothing to do with furthering the plot. I just never thought it was witty or intelligent, just juvenile humor and childish sight gags. but to each his/her own.
