Sounds like you have a trapped nerve- they usually wear off, but get it checked out at the doctors if it gets worse! "There is no such thing in life as normal..."

the part that is really bad is the fleshy part under the thumb, if I close my hand, I get an acute pain

"Can't you tell that your tie's too wide?" Maybe I should buy some old tab collars? "Welcome back to the age of jive. Where have you been hidin' out lately, honey? You can't dress trashy till you spend a lot of money." Everybody's talkin' 'bout the new sound Funny, but it's still rock and roll to me

Hopefully it's just one of those things you wake up with and wake up with it gone, too.
My hands hurt from guitar, but mostly from the damn computer! Computers are horrible for our bodies!! Maybe some Ibuprofin could help in the meantime, and don't use it (easier said than done, right?) [Edited 1/14/08 11:21am] My Legacy

I'm a little worried it is from the camera, since it weighs over a kilo and I took a few photos on Saturday, but really not THAT many. I held it under the hot water in the shower for ages this morning, and it felt better quite fast. That means it's muscular, right?

[Edited 1/14/08 11:21am] The worst was sleeping it was ACHING, even after taking panadol. The computer makes my shoulder sore.

[Edited 1/14/08 14:00pm] when you have tendonitis from the guitar, which part of the hand hurts? I don't know, I get sore wrists. I think it's from mousing more than guitar, though. I also get random pains for no apparent reason that disappear for no apparent reason either. The fleshy part under your thumb sounds like muscles to me, though., like you were gripping something too hard too long--that spot hurt me after playing tambourine too long (yes haha "tambourine" ) [Edited 1/14/08 14:06pm] My Legacy

That's why I think it's the cause, mostly. Also holding the tambourine hurt after that incident. Guitar doesn't hurt 99% of the time, but sometimes a certain angle of the hand will hurt a bit (a little bit sharp). It does get tired, though, and can be somewhat sore (the tendons in my wrist) the day after a long show. My Legacy
